So my daughter and I took a Jeep ride tonight, at this point the doors are off but top is on. This week temps are going to be pushing 80, so the top will likely come off. So what does everyone think about being out driving during this with no protection from the outside world? We’d just be out cruising the back roads, not goin g to any locations or errand running.

Been driving too down in the BMW a couple of times, and seen quite a few convertibles around the neighborhood.

Nothing wrong with it. You’re good on the 6 foot spacing other than whoever is in the car with you.

Enjoy!

I was out top down today, and was out 2 wheels good yesterday with literally zero concern about outdoor airborne pathogens. Close contact in confined spaces increases your risk hence the 6 foot rule, etc.

if it’s 80 degrees and sunny out, the coronavirus is not long-lived outside the human body.

Topless and doorless since quarantine started. Not concerned about being exposed while driving. It’s been great weather and with less folks out and about it’s been a nice escape from the house. Enjoy it!

Very unlikely to be an issue. But I’m not a doctor. So if I’m wrong, at worst, YOU’RE GONNA DIE!!!

completely agree - 58 and sunny here today, all the windows down and the stereo up on the way to the post office and grocery this morning.

Just stay away from smog and heavy pollution. The virus can be carried in smog, which l ast I heard is thought to be one reason NYC and northern Italy are in such bad shape.

Assuming your state allows it and you aren’t in an area getting hammered I’d say you’re fine. You don’t have to worry about transmission in a situation like that.

Seriously, the air is not poison. Unless you are inhaling recently expelled air from an infected person or touching surfaces they brethed on then touching your face, you are fine..

Pfft it’s sick. If you’re barely allowed to leave the house, may as well try to enjoy it. Weather is cold down here in Melbourne but I’ve still been de-roofing for the few trips I’ve made.

As for driving around, that’s illegal where I am. Unless you’re going somewhere essential. So unfortunately, though back road solo trips are very low risk, they’re not allowed.

Our stay at home order says you can go out for a leisurely drive.

I was just thinking this was the perfect time to own a motorcycle, Jeep or convertible.

As a motorcycle and jeep owner, it is always a good time.
